More and more people are starting to realize that the Internet is a great place to earn some extra income. While there are opportunities out there that can make you a full time income, today we’ll be looking at some easy and almost effortless ways to make money at the comfort of your own home.
You do not need a degree, or knowledge about marketing, SEO or what not. Anyone can make money with this list easily.
1. Matched Betting
I’m currently in the UK and matched betting is a legit way to make money here. The sites I use are for the UK only so I’m not really sure about other countries.
Matched betting isn’t gambling, just to clear up any confusion. Matched betting is just as the word suggests – you match both your bets so whatever the outcome they both cancel out. Of course this isn’t something you can do on your own since you won’t know which 2 bets cancel out.
There are websites that offer specialized software and odd calculators to do this for you. You simply put in your bets and they tell you the amount you have to bet on both sides.
How do you make money?
In the UK, most or if not all betting sites offer some kind of bonus or free bets. Usually you would start with the sign-up bonus. The offer could be something like : “Sign-up and bet £5 to receive a £20 pound free bet.”.
The free bets are what you’re after. See since you’re matching your bets ( which takes 2 betting sites ) you don’t lose any money whatever the outcome but you also qualify for the free bets since you did actually bet some money.
After receiving the free bet you repeat the process of matched betting so you can cash out your free bets.
2. Watching Videos
There are sites that reward you with points for just watching videos. Usually the way it works is that you run the first video and once it’s done it will automatically run the next video, and so on.
Most sites that offer this opportunity are actually your everyday get paid to sites. It is just another method of earning points. But of course the best part is you can leave the videos running, meaning you are passively racking up those points.
Is it really worth it though?
You can use your laptop or your phone and just play the videos and let it run. To be honest though if you’re just running videos for points you won’t reach the minimum cash out threshold anytime soon.
Videos don’t reward that much points which makes sense because it is kind of passive.
Which is why if you want to fully maximize your earnings, you can run multiple tabs on your laptop or use multiple cheap phones and run the video playing apps.
This speeds up the process significantly and you will be able to cash out much quicker. If you’re interested do check out my Perk TV review to find out more.
3. Get paid to sites
Following up on the last point. Get paid to sites are abundant on the Internet. Most of them offer a variety of ways to earn points.
My favourite ones are those that offer some kind of daily achievement so even if you are lazy you can just do those and eventually you will get enough points.
Do they really work?
The trick with get paid to sites is that in order to earn a significant amount of points you will have to check out their offer walls or do some surveys.
Daily tasks or passive points will only get you so far ( unless you use the trick in point 2 ). With that said offers that require you to do work will reward you with more points.
My favourite offers are those that require you to play games. They aren’t something you can do quickly unless you’re some pro gamer and will usually take about 2-3 days to complete.
On average, it will take about 4-5 games before you can cash out which you can do simultaneously ( most of them are those that have some form of daily energy limit anyway ) so you can cash out rather quickly if you spend a few hours playing games everyday.
4. Becoming a Writer
Do not be mistaken, you don’t need any degree to become a writer online. You do not need to be professional either. All you need is to have a decent command of the English language.
As a writer ( or blogger if you want ) there are many topics for you to write about. However if you’re just starting out chances are that you will be at the mercy of your clients.
There are a few websites that can help you to get started with a writing career like Hire Writers. There are a lot of other websites that pay more as well, up to $200 an article but you usually need to have some experience to apply for those.
Can writing become a full time job?
Honestly it depends on you. In the case of Hire Writers there is no pressure or minimum working hours. You can accept jobs at your own convenience and you can quit or stop writing anytime as well.
If you do want to make it a full time job, there are several ways to do that.
The first is to become a blogger, which is more than just writing because you need to learn about marketing and SEO for you to make money.
The second is to simply find a better paying website. Like I said there are tons out there and I will come up with a list one day. Bear in mind that higher paying websites will have a strict application process.
5. Downloading and trying out new apps
There are apps available that introduces new apps to you. The way it works is that you get rewarded a certain amount of points for downloading those apps.
There are 2 ways that this could work.
- you get rewarded with a fixed amount of points for downloading and using the app.
- you get rewarded more and more points the longer you use the app.
Both can make you money but my personal preference is the 2nd option.
Can you actually make money?
Yes and this is the primary method I used to make money with my phone before starting my blog. I use Applike as it rewards you with more points the longer you use the app.
All you need to do is use the app and not actually play it. Even if you leave it on and walk away you will still get your points which is why I like it. It is also fairly easy to cash out with a minimum payment of £0.5 though it may only be for the UK.
