Do you want to make money online?
If you’re answer is yes, do continue reading because what I’m about to share with you is extremely important if you want to make money online.
The most important thing I want you to understand is :
Making money online is not easy, nor is it a fast process. You will not see the rewards overnight, or this week or even this month.
Everything you read about people making $xxx amount in a week or something similar does not apply to you, however it isn’t a lie either.
How do they do it then?
Like you, they had to have started somewhere right?
I’m pretty sure when they first started out they weren’t making this much and it probably took them years to get to where they are now.
This is another important point that you have to understand – it will take time to build up your system ( whatever it may be ) so that it can make you $xxx in a week or something.
This is why I’ve said that making money online takes time.
As a general rule of thumb, I would say that you need to use time or money ( or both if you want ) to build up your online business.
Think of it like this, initially you would need to spend time building up your business. However, it is possible to spend money to accelerate this process. So the more money you spend the more time you save.
What you have to understand though is that using money won’t magically make things happen either, you have to know what to spend it on.
Let’s say you want to become an affiliate marketer, you have an option that uses time, or an option that uses money.
The time option would mean you use a method like SEO, which can take a long time before you can get your desired traffic.
Using money you would straight up run an ad campaign and you will be getting instant traffic. The catch here is that just because you’re getting traffic doesn’t mean you will be getting money because you might be targeting the wrong audience.
What’s my point here?
My point is that you need to understand that spending money to speed up a process ( usually with ads ) also require some form of skill or trial and error.
Therefore you also have to spend time to hone your skills, or you’d just be wasting money with ads that don’t bring you any profit.
Back on topic, not all of us can afford to spend a couple of thousands of dollars right of the bat right? I mean we still have bills to pay, food, and other responsibilities.
I fully understand this since I’m in a similar situation as well. Which is why I’m going to share with you a method to help you make money, using time as a resource with the most minimal amount of money required.
So now that you’ve understood that, let’s talk about how you’re going to make money – blogging.
A lot of people are actually making money through blogging these days. It is pretty normal to come across a blogger that’s making a couple of thousand dollars from their blog every month.
I’ve even seen some bloggers make 5 figures per month from their blog !
You might be asking though, how does blogging make you money?
Well, it is very much the same way as someone making ad revenue on Youtube.
The point is that you are a content creator ( your blogs are your content ). People will read your content and when a lot of them read it you can display ads on your site.
You can also make money with affiliate marketing by using your blog. Affiliate marketing is sort of like you being a salesman or saleswomen for a product.
You apply to be an affiliate to a product and if your application is successful you get your very own affiliate link ( basically just the regular link with your ID on it ).
Now when someone clicks on the link and makes a purchase the vendor would know that it was you who promoted the product ( remember your ID in the link ) and thus you will get a commission.
There are many different affiliate programs that you should look into and not all of them involve making a sale to get a commission.
You see, when you’re running your own blog or website, you’re basically your own boss. You can work on it as much or as little as you want to.
Whatever success you get from your blog is all yours to enjoy as well, which gives you an incentive to work harder because the harder you work the more money you make. You aren’t working hard to make your boss rich anymore.
Sounds cool doesn’t it? So how can you make it happen?
The key point is to have a lot of visitors to your blog right.
This is the part that will take some time. Let’s just take the most subscribed channel on Youtube for example, PewDiePie. His youtube channel wasn’t making him money in the first few months as well.
On the topic of your website, I’ll be sharing with you how to get visitors for free !
This method is what we call SEO or Search Engine Optimization. To put it simply, you write a post for your website and try to get it to rank highly on Goole ( your aim is rank 1 on Google Search).
What you need to do is to keep writing blog posts. Google likes an active blog with a lot of great content so that’s what you need to impress them.
This is the part that really requires effort ( since this post is aimed at making money through time and effort instead of using money ). Getting rank 1 on Google isn’t easy, but it isn’t that hard either.
If you’re ranked 1 for a particular search term people will be coming to your blog, and it will be Google that’s helping you promote your website, for free !
On the other hand, you could spend money on advertising, like Adwords to get traffic faster as well.
You might be wondering :” How can I do that when I know nothing about ranking on Google yet?”.
Well all of us have to start somewhere ( so did I ). When my website first came up I was getting no visitors ( yes not even a single 1 ) for months.
The only people that were visiting my site was me really ( sounds sad I know ). Truthfully it was very discouraging since I was like a madman writing post after post ( I averaged 1 post every 2 days at that time ) to get nothing out of it. But I still kept going, I kept writing new posts and building up my website and now after half a year I have a handful of posts that rank on the first page of Google and I get consistent traffic everyday without having to do anything to my site.
Of course I don’t track everything so there might be some posts that are ranking well that slipped my radar too !
What am I trying to tell you here?
I just want to say, if I can do it so can you. I’ve done it and it isn’t hard, really. I dare say that if you don’t give up you will see results around the same time as I did ( or even faster if you work harder ).
Makes sense doesn’t it?
If you’re serious about making money by blogging, I will give you everything you need right here.
So this is what I want you to do :
- Go to Wealthy Affiliate and sign up for the free membership. ( you can read the more about this program in my Wealthy Affiliate review )
- Do the training course and follow the training.
- Get your website started
- Keep writing posts and content
- Keep doing this for about 6 months and you’ll start to see results!
- Give it some more time and you will eventually be making a full time income from your blog.
Why is this training important though?
There are various reasons for going through the training ( aside from it being free ).
The most important reason is that you will be able to understand the basics of making money online ( even if you don’t plan to follow this method ). Wealthy Affiliate’s training videos will give you knowledge about online marketing as a whole and you can use this information elsewhere as well.
Also, when you know more about the world of online marketing, it will be harder for you to get scammed, trust me on this one. I’m able to understand how a lot of programs out there work ( including the scams that seem legit and how they make money ) thanks to the training that I’ve been through.
Lastly, you will be able to learn from the community in Wealthy Affiliate. I know that this post alone isn’t enough to answer all your questions.
Thankfully, you’re not alone here, there are beginners joining Wealthy Affiliate everyday, asking the same questions as you. It’ll be beneficial if you just have a read at their posts or questions, and take a look at the comments when the more senior members give an answer or advice.
What’s the key point to take away from this post?
Firstly, there are a lot of ways to make money online other than blogging. The reason I recommend blogging is because it does not require a lot of initial investment.
Nevertheless, whichever way you choose to earn money, just remember that you will need to work for it one way or another.
There is no easy way to make money so if you’re serious about this, I do hope you stick with your plan and don’t give up easily.
